iRig Recorder LE App Reviews

very good (EXCEPT THE ADS)

very nice selection of editing tools. practical and very useful for everyday use, in addition do the sharing options. the only issue is the ads that come up when the app is launched (even on the PAID version). it is not only annoying (like any type of spam) but the amount of ads actually get in the way of properly recording a situation that requires immediacy. other than that its a great app. just keep in mind spamming is a very effective way of testing a customers patience.

who designed that icon?

the ugliest icon ever! please do something.

Very Nice!!

love it, many expanded features that rival the basic voice memo app on iphone. Love the mulit tasking, expanded export options.

The field recording app I was looking for

Very complete and intuitive app. Its perfect for field recording, its got all the controls you might need to capture the best possible recordings on your idevice + the interface is designed so that the app is super easy to use no matter if you are just starting out in field recording or if you are an experienced soundman.

Oh the disapointment

For 3 reasons I was quit disappointed 1) a single e-mail results in about 10 gigantic messages in the inbox 2) files dont record right all the time, the time length of the recording shows but nothing recorded plays back 3) exporting: it takes long, it is not reliable. exporting via itunes damaged some recordings Oh and the App has seized to function on my device it is just frozen

Lame

If you are serious about recording anything, this app is not for you. The only acceptable inputs for this app are the built in microphone and IK multimedias bullcrap iMic thing. It is not compatible with a mixer, for higher quality recording!

Do not buy this

I was tricked into buying this horrible app. The recording does not fully play back, it will only play back the final few seconds. Dont throw away your $$$$

Now working fine

Now that they seemed to have fixed the issue with searching and scrolling in the waveform this is great. Its the only recording app that Ive used which can record my band practices without clipping thanks to the -15db setting. Also worth noting that Im using the internal iPhone mic.

Garbage App

The device works very well, but the app is of no use to anyone. - Only records to M4A - No email sharing - No audio settings - Cannot edit clip(s) on iDevice

Not impressed

Unable to delete recordings... Your interface does not work as its supposed to.

IRig

Must pay to access own recordings. So many other ways to do this without iPhone. Oh, but voice memos ARE accessible.

Useless

This app creates a file which cannot be played back! It will not create a recording as that word is defined... If you cant hear it its not recording!

Horrible App - Avoid

I purchased this iRig microphone to record with my iPod Touch or iPad. The small stereo mic is great and thought I would purchase the software to go with it. What a mistake! Bad design. Every feature is apparently a "buy in" and despite buying the $7.99 suite of utilities, this program is hopelessly crippled with ads for other products they sell. What a shameful con! Do not make the same mistake I did!

money grabber.

Before you pay for in-app purchase, check out the other “iRig Recorder” on app store. its a bundle version with all the features you need or ever needed. Love their hardware but hate how they confuse buyers with so many variants of software. check out other apps made by IK multimedia. And really hate the random “pop-up” advertisement even you have paid for the full version.

Infernal Pop-ups

Beware! When you record sometimes intrudal pop-ups will freeze your work! Dont buy it.

Update doesnt work

The app when my phone goes to sleep

Frustrated

I bought the in-app upgrade a long time ago and it still gives me a ridiculous amount of pop ups that interfere with my recordings!!!

Deleted my recording, big fail.

re: v 1.5.3 In the past I had successfully used this app to record material and transfer it to iTunes file sharing in .wav format. An attempt to transfer an interview in .wav today presented a message saying I had to purchase this functionality in-app. Previous .wav transfers still showing in iTunes file sharing proved that I had already purchased this functionality. However, a restore in-app purchases’ option appeared, so I clicked it, seemed obvious. The functionality to transfer .wav format returned - and at the same time the app deleted my current recordings. No gone, a one-time interview - lost. Big Fail!

Dont buy it !!!

Only mono sound..... Dont waste your money !!!

Slightwolf
